GFCJC at “Reentry Day” in Montpelier

On Friday, March 13, Greater Falls Community Justice Center attended "Reentry Day" at the Vermont State House.

We talked with legislators about our reentry programs, and clients shared their experiences returning to the community from incarceration.

Rep. Alice Emmons, Chair of the House Committee on Corrections and Institutions, invited us in to listen to their discussion of bill H550, which addresses gender equity in corrections. We all learned a lot and are grateful for the work done by our state representatives!
