Welcome New Board Member: Matt Alden

Hello! My name is Matt Alden and I am excited to be on the Board of the Greater Falls Community Justice Center. I am from Craftsbury, Vermont (a town of less than 1,000 people) and I grew up wrapped in the support of a community, which is one of the reasons I am such an advocate for the restorative process.

Currently I am the Assistant Principal at Riverside Middle School in Springfield, Vermont, and prior to that I worked as a restorative justice school counselor. I believe that implementing restorative systems within our school systems not only contributes to building communication skills, positive self advocacy, and becoming active participants of the disciplinary process, it also helps build a community that is forward thinking and action oriented.

During my free time I enjoy cooking, biking, and surrounding myself with folks that bring me joy and laughter.
